  2. LOD 200 (Schematic) builds on the conceptual phase by adding approximate size, shape, and location. The model still doesn’t have accurate information, such as material specifications. This stage facilitates design development, allowing teams to fine-tune layouts and experiment with possibilities.

  3. LOD 300 (Detailed) adds specific geometry and exact sizing. At this point, all components are designed as particular objects with explicit dimensions, shape, and position. This level guarantees that your model is prepared for construction documentation and estimating.

  4. LOD 350 (Coordinated) cranks the detail dial up by including connections and interfaces between systems. This level is essential for clash detection and coordination.

  5. LOD 400 (Fabrication) elements are modeled with fabrication-level detail. This stage makes sure that every element is buildable and corresponds to the shop drawings.

  6. LOD 500 (As-Built) is the ultimate, field-verified model. It represents the true size, shape, location, and quantity of installed elements. This is necessary for facility management and future remodels.
